The Mariupol resistance movement has obtained lists of children who were killed by Russian invaders in 2022.

Mariupol City Council announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"According to the list of the occupiers, 87 out of 101 children from Mariupol could be identified. The obtained data allowed us to verify the number of children who died during the siege of Mariupol. That's a terrible number. Unfortunately, we understand that this number may be higher. This is terrible information and the whole civilized world should know what tragedy Russia has brought to Ukraine and to our Ukrainian Mariupol. But the world should not only know, but together with us, it should also make sure that every war criminal receives a fair punishment," said Vadym Boichenko, the Ukrainian mayor of Mariupol.

Thanks to the Mariupol resistance movement, it was possible to obtain the lists of children killed in the eastern Donetsk region in 2022. Children from Mariupol went through registration in the morgues of the temporarily occupied cities of Mariupol, Manhush and Novoazovsk. Figures confirmed by the occupiers show that 101 children were killed in Mariupol during the merciless bombing of the city by the Russian invaders.

In March 2022, the Russian military committed one of the most terrible crimes of this war. Russian bombs destroyed the drama theater in Mariupol that was used as a shelter. At the same time, the word "CHILDREN" was written in large letters in Russian on the asphalt near the theater. The exact number of victims is unclear, it may reach up to 600 people, including children.
