Ukraine’s military airfields have developed defense infrastructure, Air Force commander says
Ukrainian military airfields are equipped with a developed infrastructure to protect the facilities against enemy attacks.
That’s according to Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Ukraine’s Air Force Commander, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, reports Ukrinform.
"Our airfields have a developed protection infrastructure. We have protected facilities where we park our aircraft. We operate according to the principle of dispersion, we do not store aircraft after they return from sorties at one airfield. That is why it is quite difficult to hunt down our planes," he said. As an example, he cited the airfield in Starokostiantyniv, which was targeted by three massive strikes recently.
"At the moment, the airfield is ready for combat, the planes that were at the airfield have remained safe and continue to perform their tasks," the Air Force commander emphasized.
As reported earlier, on July 26, Russian aggressors launched a missile attack targeting a military airfield in Starokostyantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region.
