Zelensky: We are ready to exchange Belgorod for Ukraine's membership in NATO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to questions about Ukraine's readiness for territorial concessions by offering to exchange Russia's Belgorod for Ukraine's membership in NATO.

Zelensky said this at a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Exchange of territories? We are ready to exchange Belgorod for our membership in NATO," Zelensky said.

He also noted that during negotiations with Denmark on the transfer of F-16 fighter jets, both parties did not discuss whether it would be possible to launch strikes on Russian territory.

"The main thing for us is to liberate our territories. Our specific mission is to defend ourselves. We are not Russians, we need Ukrainian land," Zelensky said.

Zelensky began his trip to Denmark after visiting the Netherlands.
