Russia reported downing of two drones - one crashed near Simonyan's house

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported two downed drones in the Moscow region in the morning on August 21.

This was reported by The Insider, according to Ukrinform.

The first drone was detected over the territory of the Moscow region and landed by means of electronic warfare.

"After losing control, the UAV crashed near the village of Pokrovskoye, in the Ruzhsky district, with no casualties," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Two hours later, the air defense system destroyed another drone that fell over the territory of the Istra district. 

The head of the Russian propaganda channel Russia Today, Margarita Simonyan, noted that one of the drones fell not far from her house.

The Federal Air Transport Agency noted that for several hours almost 50 planes were unable to land in Moscow and were redirected to other airports.

As reported, since Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, drone attacks have been taking place regularly in various parts of the Russian Federation.
