Eight pilots have arrived at the Danish military air base in Skridstrup together with 65 maintenance personnel who will be trained in servicing the aircraft, the Danish Armed Forces said in a statement.
On Monday, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine said Greece would also take part in the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16s fighter jets.
As reported, Zelensky made a blitz tour to Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark this weekend.
On August 20, the Netherlands and Denmark announced their decision to hand over to Ukraine a batch of F-16 fighter jets. Ukrainian pilots and maintenance specialists have already started mastering these aircraft. Denmark, which currently has 43 F-16 warplanes in service, expects to deliver the first fighter jets to Ukraine before year-end.
