Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to about 258,820

Russia has already lost about 258,820 troops in Ukraine (+480 over the past day).

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Between February 24, 2022 and August 23, 2023, the enemy’s total combat losses included also 4,373 tanks (+11 over the past day), 8,488 armored fighting vehicles (+12), 5,318 artillery systems (+23), 722 multiple launch rocket systems (+1), 491 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 315 aircraft, 316 helicopters, 7,745 motor vehicles and fuel tanks (+23), 18 warships/boats, 4,324 unmanned aerial vehicles (+12), 800 special equipment units (+3). A total of 1,406 enemy cruise missiles were shot down.

A reminder that Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 11 strikes on Russian personnel clusters and two strikes on enemy surface-to-air missile systems in the past 24 hours.
