Russians shell center of Kurakhove, injuries reported
Russian troops attacked the center of Kurakhove, in the Donetsk region, injuring three civilians. A pre-trial investigation has been launched.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this, according to Ukrinform.
According to the investigation, the enemy shelling took place at about 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24. The strike was preliminarily inflicted by cannon artillery.
Russian shells hit one of the local supermarkets, where civilians were at the time.
As a result of the hostile shelling, three local women aged 25 to 66 sustained mine-blast injuries and bruises. One of them was pulled out from under the rubble. All the victims received qualified medical assistance.
Another Russian munition hit an administrative building, causing two cars to catch fire. Enemy fire also damaged a critical infrastructure facility, windows, and the facade of an apartment building.
The criminal proceedings were opened on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported, in the morning of August 24, Russian invaders fired on the village of Mykolaivka, in the Kherson region, injuring a 67-year-old man. According to preliminary data, the enemy used a tank.
