121 people forcibly evacuated from dangerous areas of Zaporizhzhia region
121 people, including 54 children, are being forcibly evacuated from a number of settlements in two districts of the Zaporizhzhia region.
This was stated by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko on the air of the 'United News' telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"We are already starting the evacuation process. We are evacuating 54 children and 67 accompanying family members. That is, today we need to evacuate 121 people. This includes one settlement in the Vasylivka district and four settlements in the Polohy district," said Malashko.
According to him, people are ready to be accommodated in Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. Evacuation of people with limited mobility who cannot leave on their own is also planned. The regional authorities are providing transportation and accommodation free of charge. Volunteers and international foundations are also involved, offering to help people move to safer areas of Ukraine and even abroad.
As reported, on August 28, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk announced the need for forced evacuation of children from two districts of the Zaporizhzhia region.
