Zaluzhnyi, Lentfer discuss F-16 training of Ukrainian pilots taking place in Denmark

In a phone call, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Chief of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark Flemming Lentfer discussed the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers on the F-16 fighter aircraft.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The focal point is the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers on the F-16 fighter aircraft, which is ongoing in Denmark,” the report states.

General Lentfer mentioned that some of Ukrainian pilots had already successfully undergone preparatory measures and can begin flight training.

“In addition, we agreed with Danish partners to start working on logistics to ensure maintenance and repair of the F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine,” Zaluzhnyi noted.

Additionally, Zaluzhnyi thanked the entire Danish people and the Government of Denmark for their decision to transfer nineteen F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, as well as comprehensive support in the struggle against the Russian aggressor.
