Zelensky awards wounded defenders and medics in Mykolaiv region

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited a military hospital in the Mykolaiv region, where he awarded injured Ukrainian defenders and medics.

This is reported on the website of the Head of State, Ukrinform reported.

"During a working visit to the Mykolaiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited a military hospital where wounded Ukrainian servicemen are being treated," the statement reads.

The Head of State had a conversation with the defenders of Ukraine who were wounded in the battle in the Kherson direction and their families. The servicemen told the President about their condition and treatment.

Zelensky thanked them for their heroic service for our country and people.

"I wish you all the best. Get well soon. Thank you for your service. You are well done. Glory to Ukraine!" he said.

The President presented the defenders with the Order "For Courage" of the III degree, which was awarded for personal courage and selfless actions in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Zelensky also met with the hospital's medical staff. He wished the military doctors good health, as the health of Ukrainian soldiers depends on it.

"Thank you for saving their lives. For your daily work, especially in this difficult time. I would like to thank doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers, everyone who works for the sake of victory," the Head of State noted.

The President wished all those present only victory and handed the military medics The Order of Danylo Halytsky which they were awarded for exemplary performance of military duty and selfless actions in providing medical care to the defenders of Ukraine.

As reported, the President of Ukraine is currently on a working visit to the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. He held meetings with border guards and military leaders there.
