Russian army shells Toretsk, three villages in Donetsk region: 2 killed, 3 injured

In the early hours of October 22, Russian troops shelled four settlements in Donetsk region, killing two people and injuring three more.

The Prosecutor General’s Office said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Criminal proceedings have been launched over violations of the laws and customs of war (parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that on the morning of October 22, the Russian army shelled the village of Kalynivka, Bakhmut district. A 58-year-old local resident died from his injuries on the territory of his own home.

The village of Vasiukivka, Bakhmut district, came under enemy mortar fire. A 61-year-old man was killed as an enemy projectile hit a passenger car.

In the village of Netaylove, Pokrovsk district, a 19-year-old boy was injured in Russian shelling.

In Toretsk, a 59-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man received concussions as a result of an enemy strike. The explosions also damaged private homes, multi-apartment residential buildings, farm buildings and cars.

As reported by Ukrinform, three civilians were killed in a Russian missile attack on Avdiivka, Donetsk region, last night.
