Army spox on latest explosions in Crimea: Results will make everyone rejoice
Ukraine’s defense forces make efforts to deplete the enemy's capabilities as much as possible, including in the Black Sea. Yesterday, the invaders deployed two Kalibr cruise missile carries off the Crimea coast, with a total salvo of 16 missiles, so the Ukrainian forces were forced to respond.
That’s according to Natalia Humeniuk, the press officer for Operational Command South, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, commenting on the late night explosions reported in Crimea and the alleged sea drone attack on Sevastopol.
“The work on our part is coordinated in such a way that our task at this stage is to deplete as much as we can the enemy potential, including capabilities deployed as additional reserves. We saw that yesterday, the enemy put on combat duty two frigates carrying up to 16 Kalibr missiles. So what they do is they try to pursue operations in the Black Sea so our troops have to respond. It is too early to draw conclusions but I believe the result will make everyone rejoice,” Humeniuk said.
As reported earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported a series of blasts heard at about 4:00 in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol, which is a base of the Russian Black Sea fleet. The local occupation administration said the fleet was repelling a “possible underwater attack”.
