Ukraine, Australia defense ministers discuss AFU key needs for winter
The Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Australia, Rustem Umerov and Richard Marles, discussed the Ukrainian army key needs for the winter period.
Umerov said this in a post on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.
“Held a productive call with my Australian colleague Richard Marles. We discussed Ukraine’s critical needs for winter, mainly air defence systems, artillery and more ammo,” he posted.
Among the topics discussed by the ministers were also defense systems against UAVs.
The Defense Minister of Ukraine also thanked Australia for the constant political support, military assistance, and training of Ukrainian soldiers.
As reported by Ukrinform, in late October, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a new $12 million military aid package for Ukraine.
