Ukraine should remind the West that Russia not going to moderate air attacks – Air Force spox
Ukraine needs to rationally use the weapons supplied by its Western partners.
The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today, mobile fire groups have been involved, which are key to destroying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). We rely on them in order to save anti-aircraft guided missiles, which are pretty difficult-to-obtain for us in case of such massive attacks as we faced on December 29 and January 2. We need to rationally use the weapons supplied by Western partners. This is what we always emphasize, after all,” Ihnat told.
In his words, Ukraine has spent significant missile stocks to repel the recent massive attacks. Meanwhile, negotiations are underway to provide the country with the required amount of missiles, which are needed to counter air attacks.
“I do not think that Ukraine will be left alone with the aggressor, that they will stop to help us. It is only necessary to hint and remind the West that Russia is not going to moderate its air attacks. Instead, they [Russian attacks – Ed.] can intensify,” Ihnat added.
Earlier, NATO Allies condemned Russia’s massive missile attacks against Ukraine and reiterated their commitment to further strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and air defenses.
