One killed, two wounded in Russian shelling of Kupiansk district

In the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, Russian shelling killed one civilian and injured another two, including a minor.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kupiansk district prosecutor's office of the Kharkiv region, pre-trial investigations have been initiated into violations of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on January 7, at about 12:50, Russian invaders fired at the village of Senkove, Kupiansk district. A 17-year-old boy received a shrapnel wound.

At 14:20, the enemy shelled the village of Nechvolodivka, Kupiansk district. Residential buildings, outbuildings, and cars were destroyed and damaged in the settlement.

A 50-year-old civilian was killed. A woman was injured, medics rendered assistance to her on the spot.

Russian servicemen hit the villages with MLRS.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with police investigators, take all measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops shelled the border town of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region twice, damaging residential buildings and an enterprise, and causing a fire.
