The Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Donetsk region announced this on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that rescuers from the Donetsk region are involved in the evacuation of civilians from the frontline areas on a daily basis.

"Over the weekend, specialists of the Rescue Service provided assistance to 87 people, including 20 children and 10 people with limited mobility, at the points of gathering and boarding of evacuation transport," the post says.

Also, rescuers from the Phoenix evacuation group and police officers managed to evacuate five residents from Avdiivka to safer localities over the weekend.

That is, over the weekend, rescuers provided assistance to 92 residents of the region during the evacuation from the Donetsk region. The department once again called on all residents of the region to evacuate, as it can save lives.

As reported, in the Donetsk region, Russian invaders intensified shelling of settlements in December 2023, so it was decided to extend the mandatory evacuation of the population to safer areas.

As of the end of December 2023, 525,000 people remained in the Donetsk region. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 1.354 million people have been evacuated from the Donetsk region.

The Donetsk region is under constant shelling by Russian troops. Every day the enemy kills and injures civilians, destroys residential and industrial buildings, energy and infrastructure facilities.
