Zelensky on Russian missile attack: Four killed, 45 injured

Another Russian massive missile attack on Ukraine has killed four people and left 45 others injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his video address to the nation, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"This morning, unfortunately, began with a massive missile attack once again. Kharkiv and the region, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Khmelnytskyi region. 45 people were injured, and as of this time, four people have been reported dead. My condolences to the families and friends! The terrorist state will definitely feel our response," Zelensky said.

According to him, emergency and rescue operations are still ongoing in three regions of Ukraine after the Russian army's strikes.

The head of state thanked rescuers, police officers, and utility workers who were involved in this work.

Late on January 7 and early on January 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones, cruise, ballistic, air and anti-aircraft guided missiles.

Ukrainian air defenses intercepted eight Shaheds and 18 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles.
