Death toll from Russia's Jan 8 missile attack on Khmelnytskyi region rises to three

The number of people killed in Russia's January 8 missile attack on the Khmelnytskyi region has increased to three.

Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Unfortunately, one more person was found dead during a rescue operation. A man born in 1955," he said.

According to the mayor, the Russian terrorist attack left three people dead and two others injured.

Early on January 8, Russia attacked regions across Ukraine with cruise and ballistic missiles.

In Khmelnytskyi, the attack damaged an infrastructure facility and smashed windows in residential buildings and enterprises.

As of January 8, two people were reported dead in the Khmelnytskyi region.
