Russian troops destroyed the building of an educational institution in the village of Symynivka in the Kharkiv region.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reported.

"On January 21, at about 1:00 a.m., Russian troops fired on an educational institution in the village of Symynivka, in the Chuhuiv district. The administrative building was destroyed," the statement reads.

In addition, according to the investigation, on January 21, the Russian armed forces systematically shelled Vovchansk, in the Chuhuiv district. "It has been established that the occupiers fired from artillery and struck with airstrikes. Civilian objects were damaged in the city: residential buildings, outbuildings, and an enterprise," the agency said.

Pre-trial investigations into the violation of the laws and customs of war have been launched (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported, a man died and a 74-year-old woman was injured in the Kharkiv region as a result of Russian shelling on January 21.
