Civilian killed as Russians shell Kupiansk, Kharkiv region
Russian troops attacked Kupiansk, killing a local man and injuring another person.
That’s according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
"The invaders once again hit Kupiansk, employing artillery. Unfortunately, one person was killed, according to tentative reports. A 66-year-old man was injured. As a result of the shelling, a civilian car caught fire, an apartment building and a shop sustained damage," reads the posting on Telegram.
According to Serhii Bolvinov, head of the Police Investigative Department, the victim is believed to have been driving his car when artillery hit. The injured man sustained cuts to his back, torso, and forearm.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian artillery and mortars hit 20 Ukrainian settlements across Kharkiv region in the past day.
