Russia’s aerospace force intensifies operations on Avdiivka axis
Russian invaders are now seen using their combat aircraft more actively in the Avdiivka direction.
That’s according to Oleksandr Shtupun, the spokesman for the Tavria Grouping of Troops, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The enemy carried out 18 airstrikes this day. These were guided aerial bombs, as well as strikes involving K-52 attack helicopters," the spokesman said.
At the same time, the Defense Forces inflict losses on Russian invaders, Shtupun added, noting that the Russians lose 200 to 300 soldiers per day on average.
In addition, the Russians lost a plenty of military equipment, the spokesman noted. In the Avdiivka direction, they would initially move in large convoys, assuming that “everyone would get intimidated and surrender”, the spokesman noted, adding that the enemy lost 70-80 percent of their military hardware in the area. Therefore, now the invaders deploy their amored capabilities only situationally: one or two tanks, up to five armored personnel carriers or infantry fighting vehicles, Shtupun said.
He also reported that once or twice a week in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy tries to improve their tactical position or recapture positions they have lost. Yesterday, the enemy made seven such attempts in the area of Robotyne.
As reported earlier, on Sunday, the invaders focused their main efforts on assaults near Avdiivka, Nevelske, and Pervomaiske. In total, Ukraine repelled 23 attacks on the Avdiivka axis.
