Russian army injures 1,215 children in Ukraine
The Russian army killed 521 children in Ukraine and injured another 1,215 children.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform reported.
"More than 1,736 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of January 27, 2024, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 521 children were killed and more than 1,215 were injured of varying severity," the statement said.
These figures are not final. Work is ongoing to establish them in the areas of hostilities, on the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
The most affected children are in the following regions: Donetsk - 505, Kharkiv - 326, Kherson - 146, Kyiv - 130, Dnipro - 111, Mykolaiv - 101, Zaporizhzhia - 100, Chernihiv - 72, Luhansk - 67.
On January 26, two girls aged eight and 16 were injured as a result of shelling by the Russian army in the city of Myrnohrad, in the Donetsk region.
As reported, on the night of January 26, the Russian army attacked Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region, injuring six civilians, including two children.
