Ukraine’s Air Force intercepts four Shahed drones overnight Sunday

In the early hours of Sunday, January 28, the Russian invasion army launched eight Shahed-136/131 one-way attack drones and Iskander-M missiles at Ukraine.

Ukrainian air defenses destroyed four kamikaze drones, reports the Air Force press service, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy launched eight Shahed-136/131-type attack UAVs from the south-eastern direction (Prymorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia), two Iskander-M missiles targeting Poltava region from Russia’s Voronezh region, and three S-300 SAMs at Donetsk region from the temporarily occupied area," the statement reads.

It is noted that mobile air defense groups shot down four of the eight incoming UAVs that the enemy launched at the front-line area.

Civil and critical infrastructure facilities were attacked in Poltava, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"Local administrations will report on the response efforts following the ballistic attack. So far, no casualties have been reported," the statement notes.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the enemy launched missiles at Poltava region, hitting an industrial facility in the Kremenchuk district.
