Russians hit New-York in Donetsk region with airstrikes: five victims identified

Police have identified five people whose bodies were pulled from the rubble in New-York, in the Donetsk region.

The police communication department of the Donetsk region reported this to Ukrinform.

The search and rescue operation, which lasted for two weeks at the site of the Russian air strike, has been completed.

Despite repeated shelling, the bodies of the victims were unblocked, the police emphasized.

Law enforcement officers identified all the victims - three men and two women.

The enemy ended the life of the family: A 54-year-old man, his 86-year-old mother and 85-year-old father.

Also killed were a 69-year-old woman and a man who turned 72 on the day of the tragedy.

As reported, on January 15, Russian troops struck the village of New-York with four KAB-500 guided bombs. As a result of the hit, the entrance of a residential building was destroyed, and five people were trapped under the rubble.

Three of the injured were rescued by police paramedics.
