Explaining complex things in simple words: Attacks during Easter; 'Zelensky wanted;' Russian army threatens Russians
The Center for Strategic Communication and Information Security pursues efforts to provide a brief explanation to foreign audiences on the current topics of particular interest as regards Ukraine.
ATTACKS DURING EASTER
On May 5, the Russians shelled Kharkiv, the Donetsk region, the Poltava region, and other regions.
- The enemy systematically attacks mainly civilian facilities and Ukrainian civilians, even on Easter.
- The Russians struck Kharkiv city center with a guided aerial bomb. 20 blocks of flats were damaged, cars were damaged, and 15 people were injured.
- Putin's regime hypocritically calls itself the ‘’defender of Orthodoxy’’, but in reality, it turns one of the biggest Christian holidays into hell.
- In Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region), the Russians shelled the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is exactly what the Kremlin's struggle for "canonical Orthodoxy" looks like in practice.
- This is not the first Easter in Ukraine when, as a result of insidious Russian shelling, believers become victims and Christian churches are destroyed.
‘’ZELENSKY WANTED’’
On May 4, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation declared a number of current and former officials of Ukraine wanted, including the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
- The "wanted" announcement of Ukrainian politicians is another Russian farce that will not have any legal consequences.
- Contrary to the worthless Russian announcements, the International Criminal Court's warrant for the arrest of Russian dictator Putin on suspicion of war crimes is quite real and is subject to execution in 123 countries around the world.
- The Kremlin is trying with all its might to discredit the legitimacy of the current Ukrainian authorities. At the same time, more and more countries in the world do not recognize Putin's legitimacy.
- In this way, Russia itself blocks the possibility of its participation in peace negotiations with the Ukrainian side. And it is the best evidence of the Kremlin's reluctance to negotiate.
- Putin's regime signals that it has made a bet on overthrowing the legitimate Ukrainian government and hopes to impose the rule of its puppets on Ukrainians, as was the case in Chechnya.
RUSSIAN ARMY THREATENS RUSSIANS
On May 4, during the Russian attack on Kharkiv, an ‘’ abnormal descent’’ of an aerial bomb occurred, which damaged 30 private houses and 10 cars in Belgorod (Russian Federation).
- The war started by the Kremlin is a tragedy not only for the Ukrainian people, but also for the Russians themselves.
- Putin brought war to Russian cities and villages that had been living a peaceful life before.
- The Russian army kills and destroys not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia itself, due to the personnel unprofessionalism, weapons defectiveness and indifference of the command to the lives of other people and their own people.
- ‘’Abnormal situations’’ that cause destruction and damage on Russian territory occur regularly. In January 2024, the Russian aviation has ‘’bombed’’ Petropavlovka, Voronezh oblast.
- The usurper Putin is leading Russia to a complete collapse, both geopolitical and social.
