Explaining complex things in simple words: Ukrainian cooperation with partners, attacks on Russian 'nuclear triad' facilities, military accounting
The Center for Strategic Communication and Information Security pursues efforts to provide a brief explanation to foreign audiences on the current topics of particular interest as regards Ukraine.
UKRAINIAN COOPERATION WITH PARTNERS
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, signed documents that allow foreign instructors to visit military training centres in Ukraine.
- Ukraine is interested in intensifying cooperation with partners in a number of areas to increase stability and strengthen defence.
- Ongoing negotiations to attract military instructors from France and other countries to train the Defence Forces directly in Ukraine.
- We are closely monitoring the discussions in NATO regarding the possibility of involving the Alliance to close the sky over western Ukraine and to deliver weapons and ammunition to the front line under the ‘’advanced logistics’’ concept.
- We welcome NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's initiative to lift restrictions on the use of Western weapons for legitimate targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.
- More active involvement of partners in the strengthening of Ukraine is an investment in continental security and the rapprochement of peace in Eastern Europe.
ATTACKS ON THE RUSSIAN ‘’NUCLEAR TRIAD’’ FACILITIES
According to media reports, the GUR drone of the Ministry of Defence attacked the Russian over-the-horizon radar Voronezh-M near Orsk, Orenburg region, covering more than 1,800 km.
- Russian over-the-horizon radars are legitimate targets, as they are military infrastructure objects and are used by the enemy for military purposes.
- An effective defeat of the radar deprives the Russians of the opportunity to quickly receive information from the orbital constellation of satellites, which is then used by the Russian army.
- Over-the-horizon radar is very expensive equipment; the aggressor state will need a lot of time and financial resources to restore it.
- Damage to military facilities in the depths of the Russian Federation territory forces the enemy to stretch its means, in particular air defence means, weakening the pressure on the front.
- It is also a demonstration of the Defence Forces capabilities to enemy personnel, which has a significant psychological effect.
- The continuation of the war with Ukraine weakens Russia's nuclear shield, making it more vulnerable to global threats.
MILITARY ACCOUNTING AND THE MOTHERLAND PROTECTION
More than a million conscripted citizens have updated their data in the Territorial Recruitment Centres, Administrative Service Centres and through the ‘’Reserve+’’ application, 14,000 of them are abroad in 124 countries.
- Protection of the Motherland is an honourable mission and one of the main duties of a citizen, enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine. Regardless of positions, achievements, and ranks, everyone must defend the country from the aggressor.
- Today, Ukraine is experiencing the most dramatic moment in its recent history. The future existence of the state depends on victory in the war.
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is making efforts to ensure the quality training of the newly mobilized and their acquisition of the necessary skills. As well as the proper provision of units of the Armed Forces with everything necessary to expel the enemy from Ukrainian land.
- The State Bureau of Investigation reacts harshly to complaints about violations of citizens' rights or facts of corruption during mobilization.
- There are always two parties to a corruption crime who are equally responsible for it: the one who gives the bribe and the one who receives it. Therefore, it is not necessary to provoke TRC employees, policemen, or other state officials to corrupt actions. After all, this is also a violation of the Law, Article 369, of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a penalty of up to 10 years of imprisonment for attempting to give a bribe.
- The country defence requires not only the consolidation of society, but also trust between society and the state. The enemy is making every effort to disrupt mobilization and defeat Ukraine.
