Ukraine's General Staff: Russian forces more active on Kharkiv and Siversk axis

The number of combat engagements on the front lines in Ukraine on June 3 has increased to 59, with Russian forces being more active in a number of sectors, including Kharkiv.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 13:30 on Monday, June 3, Ukrinform reports.

In the Kharkiv sector, the battle near Lyptsi is ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the number of enemy attacks today has increased to four, with three of them still ongoing in the Serebrianske Forestry and Nevske area.

The Russians hit the areas of Siversk, Kupiansk and Synkivka with guided aerial bombs and unguided missiles.

The invaders are also more active on the Siversk axis. The total number of enemy attacks there has increased to eight today, six of them still ongoing in the Rozdolivka area.

Clashes in the Kramatorsk sector have not ended either.

The situation in the Pokrovsk sector is the most tense. The number of battles there has increased to 27 today, and 13 of them are ongoing. The greatest activity of the Russian army was recorded near Novooleksandrivka and Sokil. The invaders used aircraft.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian troops, with the support of aviation, intensified their operations.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attempts by the invaders to improve their positions near Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka. The Russians used aircraft.

In the Dnipro River sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Krynky.

The Russian army used artillery to shell border settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
