Kharkiv axis: Russia loses over 170 soldiers amid 11 combat clashes in past day
Over the past 24 hours, 11 combat engagements took place in the Kharkiv axis where the Russian invasion forces lost over 170 soldiers killed and wounded in action.
This was reported by the Kharkiv operational-tactical grouping’s press service, Yuriy Povh, who spoke on the air of the national telethon.
"In the area of responsibility of the Kharkiv grouping, our troops continue measures to strengthen the stability of their defense lines. In total, 11 combat clashes took place last day. The enemy hit the positions of our troops with 17 missile strikes, as well as 28 strikes involving kamikaze drones, and 238 artillery strikes," Povh said.
According to the press officer, enemy losses in the Kharkiv axis amount to 174. Russian troops also lost an armored fighting vehicle, seven artillery systems, four units of specialized equipment, and 11 unmanned aerial vehicles.
"The enemy uses the entire arsenal available, including aviation and artillery, applying small-group assault tactics. Also, the enemy continues to fortify its positions while the Ukrainian Armed Forces seek to destroying the Russian specialized equipment," added the spokesman.
He noted that enemy losses may fluctuate but in recent days, the Russians lost 130 to 250 forces per day. They are now trying to maneuver the available reserves, the report notes.
"They are trying to pull in fresh forces to replace units that have already been knocked out by Ukrainian artillery. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes Ukrainian artillery denies their efforts. When we are dealing with such a perverted enemy as Russia, everything is possible," Povh emphasized.
The spokesman emphasized that the Ukrainian headquarters and military command bodies are developing contingency plans for any developments so no Russian moves would come as a surprise to the Ukrainian side.
As reported, the total number of clashes in the Kharkiv axis has decreased in recent days.
