Russians deploy S-300 air defense systems between residential buildings in occupied Crimea’s Sevastopol

As Ukraine keeps degrading Russia’s air defense potential in temporarily occupied Crimea with long-range precision strikes, the invaders apparently decided to apply human shield tactics, deploying S-300 systems in populated areas.

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol, the Russians were spotted putting S-300 anti-aircraft missile launchers in a residential quarter, close to private houses, which left locals terrified, according to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.

"In Sevastopol, local residents complain that S-300 air defense missile launchers were placed in the residential area between private houses on the 7th kilometer of the Balaklava highway," the report says.

It is noted that previously, the air defense system was deployed at Hirnych Heights on the 10th kilometer of the Balaklava highway before it was moved to another location.

Now that the Ukrainian Army keeps destroying these capabilities across Crimea in high-precision strikes, civilians are highly anxious over seeing the S-300 systems in their neighborhood.
