General Staff: Russians most active on Pokrovsk axis

Forty-two combat engagements have been recorded on the front lines in Ukraine since the beginning of the day, with the intensity of Russian attacks being the highest on the Pokrovsk axis.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 13:00 on Tuesday, June 4, Ukrinform reports.

The Russians continued to launch artillery strikes from their territory along the border of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. In particular, Russian forces fired from Yelizavetovka at Kindrativka, from Sukhinovka at Katerynivka, and from Kirilovka at Yeline.

Russian invaders also continued to attack the Kharkiv region from their territory with guided aerial bombs. In particular, the enemy attacked Vilcha with two glide bombs.

Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian troops have repelled three attacks in the area of ​​Synkivka and Yampol in the Kupian direction. Two more clashes continue near Stepova Novoselivka and Stelmakhivka. The situation is under control.

On the Siversk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy assault near Bilohorivka.

Russian troops made three attempts to attack Ukrainian positions in the Kramatorsk sector, near Klishchiivka and Kalynivka. Both attempts were unsuccessful. Another battle is ongoing in the Andriivka area. Ukrainian forces are in control of the situation.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the intensity of enemy attacks is the highest today. The total number of combat engagements there has increased to 25 since the beginning of the day. Fighting is raging near Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Prohres, Kalynove, and Novopokrovske. Eleven enemy attacks were repelled, and 14 more are ongoing. The situation is tense, but under control.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian forces have already repelled one assault near Krasnohorivka, and one more battle is ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russians unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian defenders three times near Staromaiorske, Kostiantynivka, and Zolota Nyva.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to push Ukrainian units in the Robotyne area.

In the Dnipro River sector, in the area of a Ukrainian bridgehead on the east bank of the Dnipro, the Russian army made two attempts to storm Ukrainian positions near Krynky. The attacks were repelled. The situation is under control.
