Ukrainian forces shoot down Russian Kh-59 missile, nine Shahed drones overnight

The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a Russian Kh-59 guided air missile and nine Shahed attack drones on the night of June 7 to 8.

Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, overnight into June 8, the Russian military attacked Ukraine with a Kh-59 guided air missile fired from the Kursk region and 13 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs launched from the area of Kursk and Cape Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).

Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and EW units of the Ukrainian Air Force shot down nine Shahed drones and the Kh-59 missile in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
