Ukrainian forces repel three enemy attacks on southern front
Ukraine's defense forces have repelled three Russian attacks on the southern axis, including two in the Orikhiv area and one near Krynky.
The Southern Defense Forces reported this on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.
"The occupiers carried out two assaults in the Orikhiv sector. They had no success. On the left bank of the Dnipro, in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, the enemy launched an unsuccessful assault outside the settlement of Krynky. Having suffered losses, the enemy retreated to original positions," the post reads.
On the night of June 7-8, Ukraine's air defense forces destroyed five Shahed-131/136 drones in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
"The occupiers are pressing with artillery fire, carrying out airstrikes, using a large number of strike drones of different types, and continuing aerial reconnaissance. Over the past day, the flight of 240 reconnaissance UAVs was recorded in the operational zone [of the Southern Defense Forces]," the post said.
