Ukrainian Defense Ministry introducing direct contracting with global arms manufacturers
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry is introducing direct contracting with global arms manufacturers.
That's according to the ministry's press service, Ukrinform reports.
"Direct contracting is part of the strategy of the Ministry of Defense to expand international cooperation and increase the combat capability of the Ukrainian army. This will provide Ukraine with new types of weapons that will meet international standards," Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov said during the signing of a direct contract between Ukraine's Defense Procurement Agency and a Bulgarian company.
According to Klimenkov, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry is starting a new stage in cooperation with world manufacturers of weapons and military equipment.
"This will allow us to receive modern weapons directly from manufacturers, which will certainly contribute to faster and more effective modernization of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Klimenkov added.
