Ukrainian defence forces repelled eight Russian attacks in Kupiansk sector over last day - Syniehubov

Since the beginning of this day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have repelled eight Russian attacks in the Kupyansk sector in the areas of Sinkivka, Pishchane, Andriivka, Hrekivka and Makiivka, and the situation remains tense.

The head of the Kharkiv regional state administration, Oleh Syniehubov, posted this on Facebook.

According to him, since the beginning of the day, the Kharkiv sector has seen four Russian attacks in the areas of Lyptsi, Hlyboke and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, the situation is tense, with a battle going on near Nevske. The defence forces are taking measures to stabilise the situation.

According to Sinegubov, on 9 June at 00:35, Russians shelled Borova in Izium district, injuring a man.

In the evening, a woman was injured in Dvorichanske, Kupyansk district, as a result of shelling, the head of the regional state administration said.

In Nova Kozacha village of Kharkiv district, a house and a garage were burning because of shelling.

In Khotymlia village of Chuhuiv district, the shelling destroyed a school, damaged a shop, the village council and two private houses. A man died. Two women were wounded.

In Kupyansk, the roof of a boiler house of a private enterprise was burning as a result of shelling.

In the village of Ruski Tyshky, Kharkiv district, the shelling damaged the windows, roof and facade of the outpatient clinic building.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky called it a very significant result that the Russian army failed to implement the Kharkiv operation.
