Russians are "probing" defences in direction of Ryzhivka in Sumy region - DCC

Russian troops tried to "test" the defences in the direction of the village of Ryzhivka in Sumy region, but were hit by fire.

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defence Council's Disinformation Counteraction Centre, wrote about this in a Telegram message, Ukrinform reports.

"Sumy region. As of now, this is not the beginning of what happened in the Kharkiv region. The Russians tried to test the defence in the direction of Ryzhivka, which is a satellite of the Russian Tiotkino. There are currently no active actions in the border area. The defence forces are in control of the situation, the enemy suffered a fire damage," he said.

In addition, Kovalenko noted that "Kadyrov's men are an information army, they rely on the information component", and it is not worth comparing the situation with Kharkiv region at the moment.

As reported, the day before, the head of the Chechen Republic, Kadyrov, said that the border town of Ryzhivka in Sumy region was allegedly occupied by the Akhmat regiment.

At the same time, the head of the Bilopil community, Yuriy Zarko, denied the statement of Kadyrov's men about the capture of Ryzhivka.
