81 combat engagements in frontline, AFU destroy Russian Su-25 in Pokrovske sector

During the past day, 81 combat engagements between the Defence Forces and Russian invaders took place at the front, in particular, 19 attacks were repelled in the Pokrovske sector and an enemy Su-25 aircraft was destroyed.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, publishing an update as of 22:00 on Monday, 10 June.

"As of now, 81 combat engagements have taken place. The situation remains tense but under control. Over the course of the day, the Defence Forces struck 13 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, seven air defence systems, one artillery unit and a radar station," the statement said.

According to the General Staff, the Russian invaders launched two missile attacks using five missiles and 45 air strikes using 64 aerial guided bombs, using 486 kamikaze drones. The enemy also fired more than 2,900 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas using artillery, mortars, small arms and armoured vehicles.

In the Kharkiv sector, four unsuccessful enemy attacks took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke. The Ukrainian military continues to take measures to strengthen defensive positions and borders.

The aggressor's preliminary losses in this sector amount to 64 occupants killed and wounded. One tank, seven vehicles and five units of special equipment were destroyed. In addition, two tanks, an armoured combat vehicle, three artillery systems and four vehicles were damaged. The enemy also destroyed 15 dugouts and an ammunition depot.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy tried to push our units from their positions near the settlements of Sinkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Berestove. He was unsuccessful. No losses of positions and territories were allowed.

In the Lyman sector, the number of combat engagements increased to 12. Russian occupants attempted to advance in the areas of Druzhelyubivka, Nevske, Terny, Torske, Hryhorivka and Serebryansky Forest. All attacks were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

The situation in the Siverskyi sector did not change significantly. The enemy failed in four assault operations in the areas of Spirne, Ivan-Daryivka and Verkhnekamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the aggressor tried to attack the Ukrainian Armed Forces seven times in the areas of Novyi, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka. Six attempts by the Russian occupiers to break through our defences were unsuccessful. The situation is tense. The battle in the area of Novyi continues.

The situation remains the hottest in the Pokrovske sector. The enemy tried 21 times to break into the combat formations of the Ukrainian defenders near Yevhenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Yasnobrodivka, Umanske and Karlivka. 19 enemy attacks were repelled. Two more firefights continue near Novooleksandrivka and Novopokrovske.

The Ukrainian defence forces are making every effort to deplete and deter the Russian invaders. The aggressor's preliminary losses in this sector amount to 198 occupants killed and wounded. A Su-25 aircraft, one tank, an armoured combat vehicle, a cannon and four vehicles were destroyed.

The situation in the Kurakhove sector remains tense. Since the beginning of the day, the number of combat engagements has increased to 17. The invaders are trying to advance near Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka. 14 enemy attacks were successfully repelled by the Defence Forces. Fighting continues in the area of Krasnohorivka. Measures are being taken to prevent the advance of Russian troops deep into our territory.

In the Vremivsk direction, the invaders tried to advance near Vodiane and Staromayorsk. The Russian occupiers' assault failed. The defence forces control the situation.

In the Orikhiv sector, the occupants made one unsuccessful assault near Kopani.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the area north of Krynky. No positions were lost.
