War update: Ukraine reports 60 enemy attacks today, most of them on Pokrovsk and Siversk axes
The Russian army has already launched 60 attacks today, most of them in the Pokrovsk and Siversk sectors in the Donetsk region.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 13:00 on Wednesday, June 12, Ukrinform reports.
"The enemy remains most active in the Pokrovsk and Siversk sectors. The occupiers have launched 60 attacks in different areas of the front since the beginning of the day," the update said.
On the Kharkiv axis, fighting is raging near Vovchansk and Tykhe.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched five attacks today, with two of them still ongoing near Petropavlivka and Pishchane. The aggressors also dropped guided aerial bombs near Petropavlivka.
In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces have already repelled half of the 12 enemy attacks today. Enemy offensive operations are continuing near Spirne and Rozdolivka.
The invaders are also active in the Kramatorsk sector. In total, six combat clashes took place here today, one of them still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the aggressor is trying to advance near Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovsk, Novoselivka Persha and Kalynove. Seven battles are raging. In general, the number of enemy attempts to improve their positions has reached 20. Ukrainian defenders are courageously restraining the invaders and inflicting significant losses on them.
In the Vremivka sector, enemy assaults continue in the area of Urozhaine. Ukrainian soldiers confidently hold their lines.
