Blast rocks Kryvyi Rih's residential area

In the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, locals heard distinct sounds of an explosion.

Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's defense council, reported this via Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

"Kryvyi Rih. Explosion. Don’t film anything and don't put it on the internet," Vilkul informed.

According to an update delivered by the chief of the regional military administration, Serhii Lysak, the enemy strike targeted the city's residential district.

"A missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. The Russians targeted the residential sector. As per tentative reports, there are casualties. We are clarifying the details," Lysak wrote on social media.

An air raid alert is still in place in a number of regions.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian troops shelled the town of Novomoskovsk in Dnipropetrovsk region.
