Ukraine’s latest trophy: Russian "turtle tank"
Near the village of Klishchiivka in the Kramatorsk axis, soldiers from the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade captured a Russian "turtle tank", also taking its crew prisoner.
That’s according to the press service of the Khortytsia Grouping of Troops, Ukrinform reports.
"Thanks to our unmanned systems unit, an enemy tank was detected in the area of the village of Klishchiivka. After the explosives were dropped on the tank, its crew was disoriented and, trying to escape, the tank lost any opportunity to find the right direction to return to their positions. Thanks to our brigade artillery, the tank was stopped at one of the checkpoints before infantrymen from the mechanized battalion captured the crew and took control of the tank. As negotiations with the crew were underway, the driver barricaded himself inside, wielding a grenade in a bid to blow up the tank. However, our infantrymen found strong arguments to convince him it is better to live than to die," the report reads.
