Russian strike in Poltava region: number of injured increases to 16

The number of injured as a result of a Russian strike on the Poltava region has increased to 16 people.

The Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Civilians were injured as a result of the strike - 16 people are currently known, including two children. Six people were hospitalized. In addition, several multi-story buildings, a kindergarten, power lines, and garages were damaged," the statement said.

According to preliminary information, the Russians hit civilian infrastructure in Poltava with a Kh-59 cruise missile.

Under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in a criminal proceeding over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported earlier, there were 12 injured as a result of the Russian strike on the Poltava region.
