Overnight fires at oil depots in Rostov region a special operation by SBU - sources

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was involved in overnight explosions at the Azovskaya and Azovnefteprodukt oil depots in Russia's Rostov region.

Sources in Ukraine's law enforcement agencies told this to Ukrinform.

"Last night turned out to be the most explosive for the Azovskaya and Azovnefteprodukt oil refineries in the Rostov region, which have a total of 22 fuel tanks," a well-informed source said.

According to him, SBU drones successfully attacked the oil refineries and caused powerful fires powerful there.

"The SBU will continue to introduce 'drone sanctions' against Russia's oil refining industry and reduce the enemy's economic potential, which provides the aggressor with resources for waging war against Ukraine," the source said.

According to Russian media outlets, in Azov, Russia's Rostov region, tanks with petroleum products caught fire following a drone attack. Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry reported that 5,000 cubic meters of oil products were on fire.
