56 combat engagements take place since beginning of day
The total number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has reached 56 since the beginning of the day. The greatest activity of the Russians is observed in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation as of 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.
In the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions, in general, half of all assault operations have taken place and continue this day.
The border areas of the Sumy region continue to suffer from artillery strikes from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Today, the village of Obody (shelling from the direction of Novyi Put) and the village of Mohrytsia (from the direction of Gornal) were under artillery fire. Also, the Russians continue to hit the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs from their territory.
Thus, seven Russian KABs have already caused destruction in the areas of Lyptsi, Hlyboke, and Starytsia. The number of combat clashes in the Kharkiv direction has increased to four. All of them continue in the Vovchansk area.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out a total of six assault operations. Russian attacks near Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Berestove were repelled. The battle near Synkivka continues.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders launched five assault operations today. Currently, clashes continue in the areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka and Terny.
In the Siversk direction, the number of battles near Verkhnokamianske, Rozdolivka and Vyimka increased to 13. The enemy was repulsed, the situation is under the control of the Defense Forces.
Russian troops are also active in the Kramatorsk direction, where they began unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Hryhorivka and the Novyi microdistrict. At the Ivanivske location, the battle continues. In total, there were five combat clashes in the direction.
Most of the fighting since the beginning of the day took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where Russian troops tried to improve the situation 15 times.
Six battles continue in the areas of Yevhenivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopokrovske. Assaults near Kalynove and Novoselivka Persha were repelled. The situation is under control.
In the Kurakhove direction, two attacks by the invaders in the Krasnohorivka area continue to be repelled.
In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers are repelling another enemy assault attempt in the Urozhayne area.
In the Orikhiv direction, in addition to an unsuccessful ground attack near Novodanylivka, the Russians struck the Vozdvyzhivka area with three KABs. In other directions, the situation has not changed significantly.
As Ukrinform reported, according to the British Ministry of Defense, Russian troops could probably take control of the village of Novooleksandrivka, Donetsk region.
