Ukraine downs 12 Russian missiles, 13 kamikaze drones overnight Sat

In the early hours of Saturday, June 22, the Russian army launched a missile and drone attack on critical infrastructure facilities in various regions of Ukraine, using air-, sea-, and land-based missiles, as well as Shahed-type UAVs.

That’s according to Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, who broke the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to the commander, the enemy launched a total of 16 missiles of various types and 13 attack UAVs:

10 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic bombers (launch area – Saratov region);

two Iskander-K cruise missiles (from Crimea);

four Kalibr cruise missiles (from the Black Sea);

13 strike UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type (launch area - Primorsk-Akhtarsk area and Balaklava, Crimea).

As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 25 air targets were shot down:

seven Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;

four Kalibr cruise missiles;

an Iskander-K cruise missile;

13 shock UAVs.
