Zelensky thanks rescuers, police and military for saving lives of Ukrainians
President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the rescuers, police and military, each of whom is working to save the lives of Ukrainians.
The head of state said this in an address, Ukrinform reports citing the President's website.
Zelensky noted the rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who are working to save as many lives as possible.
"In all regions, in every city. Thank you!" Kharkiv region - Mykhailo Tebenev, Ivan Lobanov, Oleksandr Omelianenko, Oleksandr Mazur and Yuriy Matsayenko have been particularly good these weeks. Thank you, guys! And also Kyiv region, fire and rescue units of the region: Yaroslav Brovchenko, Oleksandr Borozenets, Bohdan Kachenko, Serhiy Nedilko, Tymofiy Vyshnia," he stressed.
The Head of State also thanked all local services that work for people, as well as every police officer and volunteer who helps.
In addition, the President noted the defenders of Donetsk region. "The Pokrovske direction, Toretske, Kurakhivske, Kramatorsk. Very tough battles, dozens of Russian assaults every day. I am grateful to every soldier, sergeant and officer who defend our positions and hold back the occupier. I thank all our soldiers for their strength," the Head of State stressed.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, 121 combat engagements with Russian invaders have already taken place at the front since the beginning of the day, 38 of them in the Pokrovske sector.
