Russia pummels Kharkiv region with 35 gliding bombs in past 24 hours
Last day, Russian invasion troops launched 20 airstrikes in the direction of Kharkiv, dropping 35 gliding bombs.
Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops, reported this on the air of the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent saw.
"Over the past day, the enemy has been active in the Kharkiv axis. The Russians launched a missile strike and 20 airstrikes involving 35 gliding bombs in the Kharkiv axis. Seventeen of those targeted Lyptsi alone. Also, the Russians carried out 23 kamikaze drone attacks and more than 360 strikes involving other types of weapons," the spokesman said.
He noted that three combat clashes took place in the Vovchansk areas, and as of Sunday morning, two assaults were ongoing there.
According to the spokesman, enemy losses in this direction amounted to over 80 in the past day. A Russian tank, five artillery systems, nine vehicles, seven units of specialized equipment, and 44 dugouts with personnel were hit.
Voloshyn added that Russia is trying to withdraw its depleted units from the Vovchansk area.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the General Staff, 52 combat clashes have been reported along the front lines since day-start.
