Russian troops fire 2,783 times in Donetsk region over past day
Over the past day, Russian troops fired 2,783 times at the Donetsk region, causing damage to 85 civilian objects.
The Regional Police reported this, Ukrinform reports.
"During the day, the enemy made 2,783 attacks on the region. The Russian army shelled residential areas with aircraft, multiple launch rocket systems, and artillery... 85 civilian objects were damaged - 67 residential buildings, a farm, outbuildings, cars, a gas pipeline, and power grids," the statement said.
According to law enforcement officers, 12 settlements were shelled: the cities of Zalizne, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Mykolaivka, Selydove, Toretsk, selyshcha Niu-York, and Pivnichne, the villages of Vesele, Dovha Balka, Myroliubivka, Ostrivske.
In particular, Russian troops attacked Toretsk five times with a KAB-250 bomb and artillery, as a result of which a civilian was wounded, six apartment buildings and three private houses were damaged. The occupiers dropped three KAB-500 and UMPB D-30SN bombs on Selydove.
Six residents were injured, including two boys, born in 2010 and 2013. 35 private houses, vehicles, and a power line were damaged.
Russian troops struck Kurakhove with cluster munitions from Uragan multiple rocket launchers. The attack injured three civilians and damaged three private houses.
Two more people were injured in Zalizne and Pivdenne.
Kostiantynivka was hit by a UMPB D-30 SN bomb, damaging 13 private houses, outbuildings, and communications.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported, over the past 24 hours, on June 23, the Russian army injured 12 residents of the Donetsk region.
