Russian army loses 1,170 soldiers, warplane in Ukraine over past day

Russia's overall combat losses in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and June 28, 2024 amounted to about 540,490 troops, including 1,170 soldiers killed or wounded in action in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

In addition, Ukraine's defense forces destroyed 8,066 (+24) Russian tanks, 15,480 (+21) armored fighting vehicles, 14,423 (+60) artillery systems, 1,109 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 871 (+3) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 2,329 (+5) cruise missiles. The Russian army also lost 360 (+1) warplanes, 326 helicopters, 11,509 (+50) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 19,514 (+46) vehicles and fuel tankers, and 2,431 (+1) pieces of special equipment.
