Enemy shelling kills five, injures 20 in Donetsk region over past day

Five people were killed and 20 others injured due to Russian aggression in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region on June 27.

Donetsk regional governor Vadym Filashkin said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"On June 27, the Russians killed five residents of the Donetsk region: two in Kurakhove and one each in Toretsk, Yasenove and Siversk. Another 20 people in the region were injured during the day," Filashkin wrote.

According to the infographic presented by him, six people were injured in Selydove, three each in Toretsk and Pivnichne, two each in Kurakhove, Dachne and Niu-York, and one each in Yasenove, Siversk, and Hirnyk.

In total, since the full-scale war began, 2,029 people have been killed and 5,175 people injured in the Donetsk region. The figures do not take into account casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
