Russian strike on New York in Donetsk region: Four killed, three wounded

Four civilians were killed and three more were injured as the Russian army dropped aerial bombs on New York village in the Donetsk region.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk region said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The shelling of New York killed four civilians and injured three others, including an 8-year-old girl," the prosecutor's office said.

On the morning of June 28, 2024, the Russian occupation forces once again carried out bombing strikes on the Toretsk community, using KAB-250.

One shell hit an apartment building, destroying the section of a 5-story building and killing four civilians aged 43 to 76. A 39-year-old woman and her daughter were injured.

Also, a 45-year-old man sustained a head injury as a result of a munition hitting a private sector in New York village.

"Prosecutors are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces," the statement said.
