Czech Republic's military aid to Ukraine reached almost USD 290 million - media
Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Czech Republic has provided Ukraine with various military aid worth USD 288 million.
According to Ukrinform, Reuters reports this with reference to the Czech Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that as of the end of May, the Czech Republic handed over 94,860 artillery shells from its warehouses to Ukraine, 10,000 of which were delivered this year; eight aircraft (two this year), 62 tanks, 131 armored personnel carriers, 26 chemical reconnaissance vehicles, 16 air defense vehicles, 13 guns, 12 multiple launch rocket systems, as well as many firearms and ammunition.
In addition, the Czech Republic, together with its allies, has launched several multilateral initiatives to supply Ukraine with weapons and military equipment, including one million artillery shells.
As reported, in late June, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced that his country would sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine at the European Political Community summit in the United Kingdom on July 18.
